We at Carb0n.fi have all decided to dedicate our careers and our lives to creating environmentally friendly solutions. Crypto, like many other industries, is a contributor to global carbon emissions. Having said that, we believe that the crypto industry is disproportionately vilified for its energy consumption, creating a negative public image that continues to hamper the industry’s progression. The global Bitcoin council estimates that as of June 2021, more than half of all Bitcoin’s energy comes from renewable sources.

Considering the growth and future weight of the crypto industry, our aim is to help to make the industry carbon-neutral, which we believe will help transform its negative reputation and contribute to the carbon-zero world we envision. Many blockchain projects are currently under fire for their poor environmental performance, and we aim to alleviate this problem.

The crypto industry is poised to experience massive growth in the coming decade. Today, more than two-thirds of the industry's size is attributable to the mining segment, giving rise to the industry backlash we have witnessed recently. However, we believe crypto is unduly vilified, and may in fact be an important component in reversing climate change; by solving the systemic lack of transparency and trust in carbon offsetting.
